Synopsis
Mayor West is accused of murder, and 12 Quahogians are summoned for a long-winded jury duty.
Plot
When an adjutant to Mayor West is constitute stabbed to decease, evidence that the victim attempted to blackmail the Mayor points to West and he is put on trial for murder. Despite Tom Tucker'south insistence on finding a quick decision of guilty, Brian is the solitary holdout voting "not guilty" and he tries to persuade his fellow jurors that there's a reasonable doubt of the Mayor'south guilt. His insistence frustrates the others who don't trust the Mayor because he is a politician. Brian's examination of the bear witness points to inconsistencies. Brian agrees that if no one is convinced of the possibility of innocence that he volition change but the vote comes upward with an agreement from Herbert that there is a risk of innocence. The other jurors just want to go home.
Bruce calls for a suspension and Quagmire berates Brian for non going along when he had the take chances. Back in the jury room, Brian questions the witness' testimony of seeing the crime during an orgy and Quagmire tries to testify that it could really happen, only finds that Brian may be on to something when his demonstration proves that the witness could non have looked out a window during the orgy. The jury finds itself deadlocked at half dozen-6 and Tom Tucker still holds out for a guilty verdict until Dr. Hartman shoots him downwardly. Acquitted, Mayor West resumes his duties. Back at the Griffin abode, Stewie is unsatisfied that they proved Mayor W was innocent and reveals that a maniac is however on the loose. Simply then the lights get out and Stewie declares they are dead.
